Early March 2011 saw the following vehicles and their respective owners/drivers/co-drivers take the annual pilgrimage to MIPIM:
XK120 – Duncan Moir and Neil Mackilligin
Ferrari 250TR – David Cooke and Howard Redhouse
XK140 lhd – Dougie and Kate Lawson
C – Type rep – Richard Hayward and Kevin Kill
Mark Pearrett followed up the rear with excess luggage in the “formula VW Shuttle”.
Day 1 kicked off on Sunday 6th March from EuroTunnel to Calais, followed by the initial leg to Beaune via a lunch stop at Masnil-Saint Pere (covering approx 320 miles).
Day 2 took the guys through St Jean en Royans, where they pit-stopped for lunch, before heading off for an overnight stay in Moustiers Sainte Marie (covering appox 320 miles).
Day 3 – a mere 100 mile journey, through the spectacular Gorges de Verson, along the mountains before lunch in Vence before heading into Cannes for the start of “some work” at MIPIM 2011.
